Hello, my name is Amanda Bickett. This is my 15th year teaching at Ladd. Before this year, I taught First grade for one year, Kindergarten for three years, Third grade for one year, and now Fourth grade for ten years. I have really enjoyed my teaching experiences at Ladd. I graduated from ISU with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.
Here at Ladd, I enjoy being a teacher and have also enjoyed being a coach. I helped coach the 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team. I enjoyed the experience of working with these girls. Teaching is both a rewarding and enjoyable experience when observing the growth children are able to achieve. I believe all children have the ability to succeed. This year I look forward to working with parents/guardians to help each student reach their highest potential.
On a more personal note, I am married to Brandon Bickett. We live in Ladd and have all our lives. We have two sons, Mason and Reed, and a silver lab named Daisy. Mason is 8 and Reed is 5. They are both always on the go! I have a feeling there will never be a boring moment in our house from now on. Everyone always told me that once you have a child, he or she will grow up fast!! They were all totally right!! I wish they could stay little forever!
